  • Rewards Info (Optional): If you choose to join our Ounce&Bounce rewards program, we collect related account information through RewardUp.io

How You Use Our Services

  • Your Preferences: Favorite flavors, toppings, store location choices
  • Voting Activity: Which flavors you vote for and any custom suggestions
  • Reviews & Ratings: What you post and rate
  • Notification Settings: Your choices about push notifications

Technical Information

Like most apps, we automatically collect some technical data:

  • Device Info: Your device type, operating system, and identifiers
  • Usage Patterns: Which features you use, how long you spend in the app
  • General Location: City/state level location to show you the right store info
  • Technical Logs: IP address, browser type, timestamps, crash reports
  • Push Tokens: Device tokens needed to send notifications (via Expo)

What We Don't Collect

  • Payment information (we don't handle payments - everything happens in-store)
  • Biometric data (Face ID/Touch ID stays on your device)
  • Precise GPS coordinates
  • Health or medical information
  • Social Security Numbers or government IDs

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Run the App: Provide core features, display menus, show store hours
  • Personalize Your Experience: Remember your favorite flavors and make recommendations
  • Send Notifications: Alert you about new flavors, voted flavors that arrive, and special offers (only if you opt in)
  • Help You Out: Respond to your questions and feedback
  • Improve Our Offerings: Analyze voting patterns to decide which new flavors to introduce
  • Manage Rewards: Handle your Ounce&Bounce points through RewardUp.io (if you join)
  • Make Things Better: Understand how people use the app so we can improve it

Sharing Your Information

We don't sell your personal information. Period.

We may share your information in these limited situations:

  • With Your Permission: When you explicitly agree (like making your reviews public)
  • Service Providers: With companies that help us run the app (listed above)
  • Public Posts: Reviews and ratings are visible to others unless you make your profile private
  • Legal Requirements: If required by law or court order
  • Safety: To protect our rights or the safety of users
  • Business Changes: If we're acquired or merge with another company (we'd notify you)
  • Anonymous Data: We might share aggregated statistics that can't identify you

Data Security

We take security seriously and use industry-standard measures:

  • Encryption: All data between your device and our servers is encrypted
  • Password Protection: Your passwords are hashed with bcrypt - we never see your actual password
  • Limited Access: Only necessary team members can access user data

That said, no internet transmission is 100% secure. While we do our best to protect your information, we can't guarantee absolute security.

If Something Goes Wrong: In the unlikely event of a data breach, we'll notify affected users as required by law.

How Long We Keep Your Data

We keep your information only as long as needed:

  • Active Accounts: While you're using the app
  • After Deletion: We aim to permanently delete your data within 30 days of account deletion
  • Anonymous Data: Some data might be kept in anonymized form for analytics
  • Legal Requirements: Sometimes we need to keep certain information longer for legal or fraud prevention reasons

When you delete your account:

  • Your profile, email, and personal info are removed from the Get Yo app
  • Your favorites and votes are deleted
  • Your reviews might stay up as "Former User" to keep ratings fair
  • Backups are cleared within 30 days

Important: Rewards Program

If you joined the Ounce&Bounce rewards program, deleting your Get Yo app account doesn't automatically delete your rewards account. You'll need to separately delete that at get-yo.member.rewardup.io or by emailing support@rewardup.io.

Push Notifications

We only send push notifications if you opt in. You control what you receive:

  • New Flavors: When new flavors arrive at your store
  • Your Votes: When a flavor you voted for becomes available
  • Special Offers: Exclusive deals and promotions

Want to opt out? Just turn off notifications in your device settings or app preferences anytime. The rest of the app works fine without them.

Children's Privacy

Our app isn't designed for kids under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information without parental consent.

If you're a parent and think your child under 13 has created an account, please email us immediately at privacy@getyocafe.com. We'll delete their information right away.

For Teens (13-17): If you're between 13 and 17, please get your parent's permission before using the app.

California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you're in California, you have additional rights:

  • Delete: Request deletion of your information
  • Opt-Out: Say no to selling or sharing your info (which we don't do anyway)
